PROVINCIAL TOWNS CUP THIS SUNDAY IN GOREY

The most anticipated competition of the year kicks-off tomorrow (Sunday 31st January) when Gorey start their campaign THE PROVINCIAL TOWNS CUP in Clonattin against Dundalk 2nd XV.

This year will be the 91st Provincial Towns Cup tournament for one of the oldest trophies in existence in Irish Rugby. It was purchased in1892 for £25 from Wests in Grafton Street, Dublin.

The Cup bears the title of Leinster Junior Challenge Trophy but it is not as old as the competition itself, which was established in 1888.
