GOREY 34 WEXFORD WANDERERS 0

THE STRENGTH of any club is their second team and a strong Gorey side travelled to Wexford and outperformed a determined team in Park Lane on Saturday evening last.
Gorey started slowly as Wexford took the game to them with some strong rucking and astute kicking.

Gorey eventually settled and a brace of tries each from winger Tommy O'reilly and centre John Mannion, with further tries from Adrian Copeland and Paul Swaine, saw Gorey run out easy winners 34-0.

Best for Gorey were Bernard Maguire, Paul Swaine and Ray Byrne in the forwards, with John Mannion, Darren Levingstone and Tommy O'reilly the pick of a lively back line.

Team: C. Owley, E. Warren, R. Byrne, J. Fanning, B. Maguire, C. Power, P. Swaine, J. Coady, D. Levingstone, J. Sykes, T. O'reilly, W. Pevoy, P. Furney, A. Kehoe, L. Gleeson, N. Breen, R. Roche, C. French, A. Kelly, B. Lenihan, N. Cousins, M. Hegarty, N. Peppard.
