Gorey under 15's traveled to Wicklow last Friday night to play their Leinster League
match and came away with an impressive win in an entertaining game that included 7
tries

Played under spotlights in freezing conditions the game was a highly entertaining match
with both teams eager to run the ball in the cold conditions.

Gorey played with the breeze in the first half and managed to score two tries by David
Hall from a well worked penalty move and Paul Boyle also from a penalty move near the
Wicklow try line. Conor Butler managed to kick both conversions and land a penalty kick
to add to his impressive kicking record d this year.

Gorey managed to score three more tries in the second half through Achiella Kinsella,
Eoin Corcoran and Paul Boyle again. Wicklow stuck to their game and were rewarded by
two good tries in the second half.

All the squad got to play at least half a game and the newcomers all played their part well
in a good victory. There are still lots of areas to work on and there will certainly a need to
step things up a gear in the New Year after the Christmas break.

The squad included, Conor Butler, Ian Maguire, John Roche, Joe Gardiner, Ryan Mc
Carthy, David Hall, Arron Davies, Achielle Kinsella, Jack Byrne, Daniel Kehoe, Darragh
Bellanova, , David Bourke, Eoin Corcoran, Ross Doyle, Paul Boyle, , Stanley Hadden,
Jack O'Hagen, and Conor Sherriff.
