ZERO TOLERANCE OF RACIAL ABUSE

Gorey RFC would like to remind all players and supporters that our club and the Leinster Branch IRFU operate a Zero Tolerance policy with regard to instances of racial/religious/foul abuse which occur either on the field of play or in the surrounding area.

We as a club are responsible for the behaviour of our players and supporters and expect all to behave in an appropriate manner. In the event of a complaint of abuse as described above arising both the individual(s) concerned and our Club may be liable to censure and/or penalty by the Leinster Branch.

I have been asked by the Management Committee of the Leinster Branch IRFU that our Club members be informed as to the serious consequences that will ensue both for individuals and the Club should instances of such abuse come to its attention.

I have been asked that to inform all members that behaviour of this type described while at Rugby matches shall be dealt in the severest fashion.
